This is a small selection of the films that I was part of. My skills include script writing, producing, filming and the post production.
Maske
“Maske” is a 30 seconds short experimental documentary reflecting the experience of wearing masks during Covid-19.
The challenge was to capture a glance on the experience of the first lockdown due to the pandemic in Germany.
Challenge
I decided to interview an elderly lady living in a rural village. She tells her story in the local dialect. She talks about an encounter at a petrol station.
It is highlighted that society is divided on the issue of the obligation to wear a mask.
Result
Auf den zweiten Blick
„Auf den zweiten Blick“ is a short film I produced with a team of fellow students of the Hochschule Trier.
The film is about a young man who finds a lost disposable camera. After developing the photographs, he looks for the portrayed woman and embarks on a journey to a new chapter of his life.
Being the producer, I was in charge of the cast; managing the locations; planning breakdown sheets, shooting schedules, call sheets and other lists; as well as keeping an eye on rights and permissions. On set I looked after the overall well-being of the crew and cast, e.g. by organising the catering, and was a helping hand for different departments.
